Creditors’ Rights Attorney – Anchorage, Alaska

Landye Bennett Blumstein LLP (LBB) is seeking an experienced Creditors’ Rights Attorney to join our respected Anchorage office. This position focuses on creditors’ rights, collections, debt recovery, and bankruptcy matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients in connection with debtor insolvency, work-outs and loan modifications
  • Represent clients in debt recovery and bankruptcy proceedings
  • Prepare and file proofs of claim, writs of attachment, garnishments and related pleadings
  • Handle motion practice and court appearances
  • Negotiate settlements and guide clients through strategic resolution of claims

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
  • Admission to the Alaska Bar, or eligibility to waive in
  • 4+ years of relevant legal experience (collections, creditor representation, or bankruptcy preferred)

Transactional Associate Attorney

Successful candidates will have a minimum of 4 years of legal experience, be admitted to the Alaska Bar, or eligible to waive in. Responsibilities:
Draft and negotiate commercial real estate and business contracts, including leases, purchase and sale agreements and development agreements; facilitate and close real estate, M&A and financing transactions; handle entity formations and draft and negotiate operating agreements, shareholder agreements, joint venture agreements and partnership agreements; general counsel work for real estate clients.

Qualifications:
Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the Alaska State Bar, or eligibility to waive in.
Minimum of 4 years of experience.
